Gilliflower or Gillyflower is an old-fashioned name for the Carnation or Clove Pink, Dianthus caryophyllus. The Aynsley Cup of Knowledge Gilliflowers pattern of Carnations and Lilies appears on a small cup shape, of the type made for the British Empire Exhibition. It is available with three variations in the well of the saucer:
