The Zarka Fortune Telling Teacup instruction booklet

The 1985 International Collector's Guild Zarka Fortune Telling Teacup Set is a Japanese copy of the Jon Anton and Royal Kendal Taltos sets, which in turn were colourized copies of the Nelros Cup of Fortune of 1904. Except for the packaging, it is essentially identical to the Lillian Vernon Fortune Teller's Cup and Saucer made in 1980.

The Zarka set was offered for sale through supermarket tabloids, women's magazines, gift catalogues, and gift shops for about ten years, after which manufacture ceased. It is clearly identified on the backstamp of the saucer, but the quickest way to distinguish it from others of its type is to note that the lettering of the signs of the zodiac is in green and there are significant art and colour differences from its forerunners. Especially notable is the appearance of the crab that represents the sign Cancer.
