Herbst Department Store Tea Rom, Fargo, North Dakota, 1926. Photographer unknown, but probably on the staff of the Fargo Forum and Daily Republican, where the image was published on May 12, 1926, with this caption: "Herbst Tea Room Offers Unusual Convenience. Here is a view of the Herbst tea room which is located on the Mezzanine floor. Convenience and charm are the chief attributes of this lunch place. Come do your shopping and go to the tea room for rest and lunch." Original press photo held at the North Dakota State University Libraries, Institute for Regional Studies. Thanks to Erin Nichole Handy for the tip.
